The kit belonged to Dr. Cooper Cole's sister, Agatha St. Osyth Cole; first student to graduate with a B.A. in Toronto in 1905 before graduating in nursing in 1908 from the Royal Victoria Hospital in Montreal; the kit was presented to her either at graduation or on receiveing a gold medal award in nursing.
