The notice had yellowed heavily; there were water stains along the proper left side and top corner; there was a tear in the paper, in the middle of the top edge, 2.3 cm long, and another below and to the right of this, 2.0 cm long; there were seven more creases along this top edge, and the bottom proper right corner was creased; there were three blue smudges in the lower right quadrant of the reverse side.
