Eve's tonsil snare with ratchet, which consists of four parts: (a) ratchet/shaft; (b) wire/shaft/finger rings; (c) handle/thumb ring; and (d) screw; all parts fit together to form an instrument that is long and cylindrical with two open, round finger grips and one open, round thumb grip at one end; the instrument is designed so that if the finger rings are pulled, an inner shaft will be pulled inside an outer shaft; a wire loop attached to the tip of the inner shaft will get pulled inside; the tip of the outer shaft is open to allow the wire to go in and out; the end of the thumb ring has a flattish metal bar attached to the outside end; one side of the outside shaft has ratchet notches cut into the metal.
