Copper-7 intrauterine device, which consists of a "7"-shaped piece of polyethylene with a top that is slightly rounded outwards and a main shaft that is straight, then curves to the right; there is a bulbous end where the top and shaft join; the main part of the shaft is wrapped with tightly coiled copper wire; the very bottom of the shaft has a small hole through it, which allows the attachment of a nylon string.
